Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 – Section 14, Footpath No.4, Talaton and Footpath Nos. 5, 6 & 7, Ottery St Mary, Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2026. Notice is hereby given that Devon County Council intends to make the above titled order. From Monday 10th August 2026 to Friday 4th September 2026, No persons shall proceed on the sections of the affected paths except for access to land or premises on or adjacent to those lengths of paths.
Paths affected:
- FOOTPATH NO. 4, TALATON from a point of the north of Rose Cottage, eastwards to the River Tale.
- FOOTPATH NO. 5, OTTERY ST MARY from Black Aller Covert westwards to the River Tale.
- FOOTPATH NO. 6, OTTERY ST MARY from its junction with Footpath No. 7, Ottery St Mary southwards to a point immediately to the north of the A30.
- FOOTPATH NO. 7, OTTERY ST MARY from Middle Lodge to its junction with Footpath No. 86, Ottery St Mary.

Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 – Section 16A, Footpath No.4, Talaton and Footpath Nos. 5, 6, 7, 85 & 86, Ottery St Mary, Temporary Prohibition of Traffic (Special Order) 2026. Notice is hereby given that Devon County Council intends to make the above titled order the effect of which is to prohibit persons from using the following public rights of way:
- FOOTPATH NO. 4, TALATON
- FOOTPATH NO. 5, OTTERY ST MARY
- FOOTPATH NO. 6, OTTERY ST MARY
- FOOTPATH NO. 7, OTTERY ST MARY
- FOOTPATH NO. 85, OTTERY ST MARY from its junction with Footpath No. 5 near Iron Gate Lodge to the first field boundary
- FOOTPATH NO. 86, OTTERY ST MARY
The order will come into effect on Monday 10th August 2026 and will remain in force until Friday 4th September 2026 (both dates inclusive) as agreed with the Secretary of State for Transport.
