The designation of the whole of West Hill Parish as a new Neighbourhood Area was agreed by the East Devon District Council Cabinet on 29th November 2023. Simultaneous with the decision to designate this new Neighbourhood Area, Cabinet agreed to modify the existing Ottery St Mary Neighbourhood Area to remove West Hill parish from this area and align the boundary to the Ottery St Mary parish. This was necessary as Designated Areas cannot overlap.
