Ottery St Mary Town Council is pleased to announce the installation of three new electric vehicle (EV) chargers at the Station Community Hub, Mill Street, EX11 1AH. This initiative is part of the Council’s commitment to supporting sustainable transport and helping residents make the switch to cleaner, greener vehicles.
The chargers are available for community use 24 hours a day, with the exception of Tuesdays and Thursdays, when they are accessible until 5:00 PM.
By providing this facility, the Council hopes to make EV ownership more practical for residents who do not have access to private driveways or home charging points.
Cllr Dean Stewart, Chair of the Community Infrastructure Committee said:
“We are proud to offer this service to our community. By making EV charging more accessible, we aim to encourage more people to consider switching to electric vehicles, reducing emissions and supporting a cleaner environment for Ottery St Mary.”
The chargers are located in the Council’s private car park at the Station Hub and are clearly marked for EV use only. They are managed by Voltshare and charging is set up via their app or by debit/credit card payment.
