Newly Elected Mayor & Deputy 2018

 

Cllr. Paul Bartlett and Cllr. Josefina Gori both Councillors representing the North Ward, have been elected Mayor & Deputy Mayor of Ottery St. Mary Town Council during the Annual Meeting that took place on the 8th of May of this year.

 

The newly elected Mayor of Ottery St Mary has lived in the town for 69 years. He has been married to Sue for 44 years and has three grown up children and four grandchildren. His father used to be the Sub-Postmaster, hence Cllr. Bartlett’s great knowledge of the town.

 

Cllr. Bartlett has been an Ottery St. Mary Councillor for over six years; Chairman of the Finance Committee since 2016, a member of the Planning and the Property & Land committees and the Council’s representative on the Feoffees. Cllr Bartlett played an important role together with the then Mayor and Deputy Mayor of OSM in the completion of the work done at the old Nat West Bank to convert it in the flourishing local library that is today.

 

Cllr. Gori lives in Ottery and became a Councillor in 2015 and vice-Chairman of the Finance and Human Resources Committee’s in 2017 . Apart of being the organiser of many events in town Cllr. Gori has been the Council’s representative to FOOL, the Twining Association and the Skatepark Trust. At present Cllr. Gori continues as vice-Chairman of the Finance Committee, has become a member of the Property & Land Committee and is also Chairman of the OSM Regeneration Group.
