From January to March 2021 East Devon District Council undertook a call for sites, which invited members of the public to submit land they felt was suitable for housing and economic uses. Further assessment work will be undertaken on the Non-GESP assessed sites submitted in 2017 as part of the upcoming review of the Local Plan.

Housing and Economic Land Availability Assessment - East Devon

                                                               *******************

Following the passing of the Parliamentary Constituencies Act 2020 in December 2020, and the publication of the relevant Parliamentary electorate data in January 2021, The Boundary Commission began a new review of all Parliamentary constituencies in England. This is referred to as the ‘2023 Review’, as they are required to report with their final recommendations by 1 July 2023.

The Boundary Commission is consulting on the initial proposals for an eight-week period, from June 8 to August 2 2021. You can find more information at South West | BCE Consultation Portal (bcereviews.org.uk) In summary the proposal is that Ottery St Mary would be with Honiton but that West Hill would be with Exmouth.
