 Silver Band

After 15 months of not being able to rehearse and not being able to perform to the public since the end of 2019 the Ottery St Mary Silver Band have decided to 'go for it' and play a selection of music on Sunday 3rd October at 2:30pm for approximately an hour in the Land of Canaan, Ottery St Mary. It is hoped that it will stay dry during that time but should it rain heavily then sadly the performance could be called off at short notice.

From January to March 2021 East Devon District Council undertook a call for sites, which invited members of the public to submit land they felt was suitable for housing and economic uses. Further assessment work will be undertaken on the Non-GESP assessed sites submitted in 2017 as part of the upcoming review of the Local Plan.

Housing and Economic Land Availability Assessment - East Devon

                                                               *******************

Following the passing of the Parliamentary Constituencies Act 2020 in December 2020, and the publication of the relevant Parliamentary electorate data in January 2021, The Boundary Commission began a new review of all Parliamentary constituencies in England. This is referred to as the ‘2023 Review’, as they are required to report with their final recommendations by 1 July 2023.

The Boundary Commission is consulting on the initial proposals for an eight-week period, from June 8 to August 2 2021. You can find more information at South West | BCE Consultation Portal (bcereviews.org.uk) In summary the proposal is that Ottery St Mary would be with Honiton but that West Hill would be with Exmouth.
