Allotments

The Town Council owns the allotment site at Higher Ridgeway which has approximately 90 plots,  all are currently leased.  The administration, accounting and general management procedure of the allotments are the responsibility of the Town Council.  The Ottery St Mary Allotment Association Management Committee ('the Committee') has been sent up to represent the interests of the allotment holders and to keep the Town Council informed on all aspects of the allotment area.  The charges for each plot are based on the size of the plot and are calculated per square metre.

With the current trend of growing 'your own' we have seen a considerable increase in persons requiring allotments.  As a consequence of this, all our plots are now currently leased and it has been necessary to have a waiting list.
